Position Summary:
The Mechanical Engineering Manager highly influences the success of our team and ability to deliver beyond our customers’ expectations. Within this role, you will grow and guide the Mechanical Engineering team, collaborate with other departments, drive improvements, and provide leadership to the Mechanical Engineering team. This will be accomplished through strong resource management, continuous mentorship, training of individual team members, setting goals, monitoring work, motivating, and evaluating team performance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly manage your team through leadership, mentoring, and training
- Lead collaboration cross-functionally with all departments
- Plan, direct, organize, manage, and improve company processes
- Serve as technical expert and teach your team to identify risk in advance and provide solutions
- Support project managers with customer service, runoffs, planning, and status reporting
- Attend project kickoffs, assign projects, and schedule resources
- Support quoting team by giving input on concepts, hours, and material costs
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding quoted budgets
- Responsible for managing current/future staffing needs
- Lead team meetings to inform team of workload, hours, and company updates

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification (Vocational education preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in managing teams
- Experienced in the design of machinery and fixturing
- Proficient in computer skills, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office, Excel
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives with varying priorities
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated technical aptitude with focus on safety and quality
- Proven ability to accept and give direction, set expectations, and hold team members accountable to meet timing, budget, and customer expectations
- Travel minimum 20% may be required domestically and internationally
